Running a WooCommerce store and Danea Easyfatt as two separate worlds means doing every job twice: products updated in two places, customers typed in again by hand, orders copied from the site into the management software. Danea Easyfatt was designed to avoid exactly this: it has two built-in commands for talking to an e-commerce site, and the two ilGhera plugins — ilGhera Danea Importer for WooCommerce and ilGhera Danea Exporter for WooCommerce — are what makes those two commands work with WooCommerce.

In this guide we set up the complete workflow once, and then look at what the daily routine becomes: two keyboard shortcuts pressed inside Danea. No files to download or upload, no logging into the site.

Two Danea commands, two plugins

Danea Easyfatt offers exactly two actions to synchronize with an online store, both run from the management software itself, under Strumenti → E-commerce:

  • Scarica ordini (Ctrl+O) — Danea reads the orders placed on the site and brings them in next to the ones you already have.
  • Aggiorna prodotti (Ctrl+P) — Danea sends the catalog to the site: prices, availability, attributes, images.

These are the only two operations that move data between Danea and the site directly, without any file in between. Each of them needs a counterpart on the WordPress side:

  • Danea Exporter for WooCommerce serves Scarica ordini: it publishes the site’s orders as an XML feed that Danea reads on request.
  • Danea Importer for WooCommerce serves Aggiorna prodotti: it receives the catalog that Danea sends via HTTP POST and creates or updates the WooCommerce products.

Used together, they let you keep Danea Easyfatt as the management brain (records, price lists, stock) and WooCommerce as the online sales channel, with no double entry. The Importer also brings in suppliers and customers from CSV, and the Exporter can export suppliers, products and customers as CSV — useful when you set things up, but not part of the daily flow.

Free or Premium: what you need for this workflow

Both plugins have a free version on WordPress.org and a Premium version. For the workflow described here:

  • Danea Importer — free: import of suppliers and customers from CSV, including the Italian tax fields. The Products and Orders tabs are visible but locked.
  • Danea Importer — Premium: the product import, which is the heart of the plugin — from file or directly from Danea with Aggiorna prodotti — with product images, custom fields as attributes, EAN/GTIN, variations and background processing with Action Scheduler. It can also import orders from Danea.
  • Danea Exporter — free: export of suppliers and products as CSV, plus the electronic-invoicing fields at checkout (tax code, VAT number, PEC, SDI code).
  • Danea Exporter — Premium: the orders XML feed read by Scarica ordini, with all its options, plus customer export and the automatic USD-to-EUR conversion.

In short: the two free versions cover the initial records and the CSV exchanges. The two Danea commands — Aggiorna prodotti and Scarica ordini — need the Premium version of both plugins.

Step 1 — Bring the initial records into WooCommerce

Both plugins live in the WooCommerce menu of the WordPress dashboard, as “Danea Importer for WC” and “Danea Exporter for WC”. If you are starting from a Danea installation that already has suppliers and customers, the Importer lets you carry them over once, at setup time.

Suppliers

  1. In Danea Easyfatt, export the supplier list as CSV.
  2. In the Importer, open the Suppliers tab.
  3. Choose the WordPress user role to assign to the imported suppliers.
  4. Upload the CSV file and click Import Suppliers.

Customers

  1. In Danea, export the customer list as CSV.
  2. In the Importer, open the Clients tab.
  3. Choose the user role (typically “Customer”).
  4. Upload the CSV file and click Import Clients.

The plugin recognizes existing users by username or email and updates them instead of creating duplicates. The Italian tax fields come along: Codice Fiscale, Partita IVA, PEC and Codice Destinatario, ready for electronic invoicing.

This is a one-time operation. From then on, customers flow in the opposite direction: whoever buys on the site is created in Danea together with their order, from the data collected at checkout. Customers who exist only in Danea — those who buy in the physical shop, for example — don’t need to be on the site at all; if one of them later buys online, Danea recognizes them (VAT number, tax code, email, name) and, if the data differ, asks which version to keep.

Step 2 — Set up the product import (Importer, Premium)

The Products tab of the Importer has four sections: General, Custom fields, Remote and Import file.

General settings

  • Prices imported with tax: tells the plugin whether the prices coming from Danea include tax or not.
  • Regular price / Sale price: map any of the Danea price lists (1 to 9) to the WooCommerce regular and sale price.
  • Product size type / Product weight type: choose between gross and net sizes and weights.
  • Short description: use part of the full description, or the content of the Danea Notes field.
  • EAN/GTIN: import the barcode field from Danea as GTIN/EAN in WooCommerce (only valid numeric codes).
  • Publish new products: publish newly created products directly, without going through draft.

Remote or from file

  • Remote: this is the mode behind Aggiorna prodotti. The plugin generates a dedicated URL; you enter it in Danea’s e-commerce settings, and from then on Danea sends the catalog to that URL via HTTP POST every time you press Ctrl+P. It is also the only mode that brings in the product images.
  • Import file: you upload an XML or CSV file exported from Danea. Handy for a first bulk load or an occasional check, not for the daily routine.

In both cases the products are queued with Action Scheduler and processed in the background, so large catalogs go through without timeouts.

Step 3 — Set up the orders feed (Exporter, Premium)

This is the counterpart of Scarica ordini. The Exporter publishes an XML feed at a private URL, and Danea reads it every time you press Ctrl+O. We covered the Exporter in detail in the complete guide to Danea Exporter for WooCommerce; here is what matters for the workflow.

Configuration

In the Orders tab of the Exporter:

  • Orders status: pick which statuses are exported (for example “Processing” and “Completed”).
  • Tax name: export the tax name instead of the rate — recommended if the tax rates were imported from Danea in the first place.
  • Currency Exchange: export orders received in US dollars converted into euros, using the most recent exchange rate from the Bank of Italy.
  • Numbering: use the “EC” label, so the orders coming from the site never clash with the ones created manually in Danea.
  • Fees: export fees as order items — necessary when the VAT rate of the fees differs from that of shipping costs.

Connecting Danea to the feed

  1. Copy the Feed URL shown in the Orders tab.
  2. In Danea Easyfatt, open Strumenti → E-commerce → Scarica ordini.
  3. Paste the URL under Impostazioni → Indirizzo.

Each order in the feed carries the customer record (with Codice Fiscale, Partita IVA and Codice Destinatario), the shipping address, the order lines with SKU, quantity, price, VAT code and discounts, the payment method and the customer note.

The daily routine: Ctrl+O and Ctrl+P

With the setup done, nobody needs to open the site any more. Everything happens from inside Danea:

  • Ctrl+O — Scarica ordini. The orders placed on the site are downloaded from the feed and land next to the orders you already have, for example those from the physical shop. New customers are created on the fly, and stock is decreased in one place.
  • Ctrl+P — Aggiorna prodotti. Danea sends the updated catalog to the Importer: prices, availability, attributes and images are aligned on the site.

Two commands close the loop: orders in with Ctrl+O, products out with Ctrl+P. The operator works in the management software and never leaves it.

Common errors and how to solve them

  • Danea downloads no orders: check the Orders status option in the Exporter. Only the selected statuses are included in the feed.
  • Feed URL not accepted: open the Feed URL in a browser. If you see the XML, the plugin side is fine and the problem is the address typed in Danea; if you don’t, the URL is wrong or incomplete.
  • Products not updated: if a product doesn’t update after Ctrl+P, make sure its SKU in WooCommerce matches the item code in Danea: that is the key linking the two systems.
  • Prices with the wrong tax: check the Prices imported with tax option — it must match how Danea exports the prices.
  • Duplicate customers after the CSV import: the Importer recognizes existing customers by username or email. If a customer is duplicated, make sure the email in Danea matches the one in WooCommerce.
  • Missing tax data on orders: the Exporter can only send what the checkout collected. Enable the electronic-invoicing fields in the Exporter’s Settings tab.

Conclusion

Used together, Danea Importer and Danea Exporter give WooCommerce the two commands Danea Easyfatt was built around: Aggiorna prodotti and Scarica ordini. Records and catalog live in Danea, sales happen on WooCommerce, and the data moves in both directions with two shortcuts. Less manual work, fewer errors, and a management system that always matches the online store.
