Product Metabox

The product metabox is a fundamental tool for assigning the WEEE category and fee to your products in WooCommerce. Below, we will guide you step-by-step on how to use this feature.

1. Access your WordPress site’s administration panel and select the product for which you want to assign the WEEE category and fee.
2. On the product editing page, scroll down until you find the “WEEE Contribution” metabox.
3. Select the appropriate WEEE category for your product from the available options (R1, R2, R3, R4, R5).
4. Once the category is selected, the associated fee will be displayed automatically. However, if you wish to override the default fee, you can do so by entering the desired value in the “Fee” field.
5. Make sure to save the changes made to the product settings to apply the selected WEEE category and fee.

Note: The product metabox is only available if the “ilGhera WEEE Contribution for WooCommerce” plugin is active and correctly configured on your site.

By following these steps, you can easily assign the WEEE category and fee to your products, ensuring compliance with Italian regulations and providing your customers with the necessary information about the WEEE eco-contribution.
