No worries. As I said, the plugin seems to be working properly for the user–at least in the way I have it configured. Thanks for your prompt response!27 Luglio 2016 alle 23:23 in risposta a: cannot get audio on a video displayed on a phone #1351
Were you able to access the video?26 Luglio 2016 alle 16:50 in risposta a: cannot get audio on a video displayed on a phone #1345
Dang! OK, your IP (22.214.171.124) was also in the blacklist (not yours specifically, but the whole range). I’ve removed that range, so hopefully that’ll give you access. Let me know…26 Luglio 2016 alle 16:31 in risposta a: cannot get audio on a video displayed on a phone #1343
Sorry… I had to activate some country blocking because of some repeated hacking attempts. I’ve temporarily disabled it now, so you should be able to access the link I gave you. Let me know if you still have an issue with it and I’ll try something else. Thanks for your patience!25 Luglio 2016 alle 17:12 in risposta a: cannot get audio on a video displayed on a phone #1338
No worries. I gather you’re a one-man shop and figured you’re pretty busy. Anyway, no, the issue is not resolved. I went on and posted the video since we had a deadline to meet, and most of the people who will be viewing it will view it on something other than a mobile device — but I still get no audio on either an iOS or Android phone. Would appreciate your help in getting this resolved. You can see one of the videos in question at:

OK, Andrea… First of all, the first link in your reply is broken, so I couldn’t test it. The second link doesn’t work in my Firefox browser — I think because the file we’re trying to load is a Flash file and I have that Firefox plugin disabled (security). When I load the second link into Firefox, the first video on your page runs perfectly, but the second on gives me the error “Flash plugin failed to load”, which kind of makes sense (since I have Flash disabled in Firefox) When I load the second link into Internet Explorer, both places where videos should be show “Loading the player…”. When I load the second link into Google Chrome, I also get two messages, “Loading the player…”.
At any rate, here is what I have discovered… Thinking the fact that the file is a Flash file (flv) might be a problem, I transcoded it to mp4. If I create a new page and simply fill in the JW Player 7 URL field with the link to the video file (http://d3u35q6y7cpasm.cloudfront.net/Nishioka-Lecture-1.mp4), then Publish the page, the player works as it should. However, if I then go back into the page and edit it for some reason — say to put in the video title and video description (using the “Options” button beneath the JW Player 7 URL field) — and then Update the page, the player no longer works. I’ve tried this multiple times and get the same results every time. To recap:
- Create a new page with a video link in the URL field and Publish it, the player works.
- Edit the same page and Update, the player no longer works…
I also found that if I fill in the fields for video title and video description (along with the video URL) while creating the new page and Publish, then in that case the player doesn’t work either. As if the page doesn’t like the video title and video description fields filled in.
I can get around this by simply putting my title and description on the page itself, but you might want to see if you can reproduce the same problem I’m seeing…

In fact, I can convert to several different formats… I’d just need some guidance on what format is best. The mp4 files are H.264 AAC 221 Kbps 640×480.18 Febbraio 2016 alle 21:59 in risposta a: Loading the player… #791
Just in case the flv format is a problem, I also have the files in mp4 format. I’ve tried them with the player as well, and get the same result… Would it help if I loaded one of those on that test page for you to see as well?18 Febbraio 2016 alle 19:05 in risposta a: Loading the player… #789
Has anyone had a chance to look at this? I need to be able to start posting a lot of videos on 1 March. Thank you!17 Febbraio 2016 alle 23:12 in risposta a: Loading the player… #785
