    Hello,

    I have setup the google app id and the jwplayer.com side of things to initialize the cast component. I am wondering why the cast function is still not showing through the player. Just an FYI, I am using a cloud-hosted jwplayer script on jwplayer.com

    Please advise,

    Hi. The plugin uses the self hosted version of the player, it has nothing to do with the JW Player dashboard.
    I have not informations about this functionality but, if something can be done for improving my product, I’m agree with it.
    Please let me have more details if you can and I will consider to implement this tool in a future update.

    Hello,

    So basically, within the javascript setup, this needs to be added during the setup of jwplayer instance, such as “file”, “poster” etc.

    Of course. If you tried to add that code to the player, just let me have a page link where I can see it.

    But my question is why isn’t it showing on the page source, even though it is enabled on the jwplayer player builder. Is there a conflict between or something?

    Nevermind, I have fixed the issue it the google app id needed to be published or associated to a cast receiver device for testing.
