KeymasterJW Player 7 for WordPress works with the self-hosted version of JW Player 7, that means that you have to:
- Register a JW Player account at http://www.jwplayer.com/sign-up/
- Once you’re logged in, download the player and copy your Licence key from https://dashboard.jwplayer.com/#/players/downloads
- Upload the folder to your site
- Add the full url of jwplayer.js that you just uploaded, in the admin page of the plugin; it will be something like http://example.com/FOLDER-UPLOADED/jwplayer.js
- Paste your Licence Key to the admin page of the plugin.
After that, set your general preferences, choose the post types where you want to add video and start to add content using the JW Player box that you’ll find there.
Just add the url of your self-hosted video, YouTube video or MP3.
That’s all, you’re ready to go![jw7-video] JW Player 7 for WordPress works with the self-hosted version of JW Player 7, that means that you have to:

KeymasterHi Dan.
This is not the new version of a previous plugin, it is a completely new one and it works in a different way.
On single post, page or cpt, just add the video url in JW Player box field for a single video. Use the address of a xml, feed, rss or php for a playlist (Premium version).
Next update will comes with another publish method for playlists.
More detailed informations are coming on this site, please stay tuned.4 July 2016 at 10:03 #1286Sacha
ParticipantBuongiorno Ghera… non e’ piu’ conveniente utilizzare l’host messo a disposizione dal sito di jw Player?
Per quali motivi deovrei utilizzare il mio? non mi rallenterebbe il sito?
Grazie….4 July 2016 at 10:17 #1288ilGhera
KeymasterCiao Sacha.
Prova e facci sapere, ok?

KeymasterHi @Cima4film. With the shortcode options you can publish a video exactly where you want.
For example, whit this I get the first video from the page 212:
[[jw7-video n="1" p="212"]]
If I need it, I can use it in a template file using this function:
<?php echo do_shortcode('[[jw7-video n="1" p="212"]]'); ?>
Hope this helps.3 March 2017 at 17:38 #2157Cima4film

ParticipantHi,
First of all, let me disclose that I know nothing about coding and I just try to follow instructions the best way possible and try to understand what I am doing. My boss wants to use JWPLAYER in our company website to show a video from a specific URL. Such URL is a feed from some recorded events from one of our customers. So, I downloaded the JWPLAYER 7 (free for now to see if it works for our needs or not) and followed your steps to install this plugin. I set it up according to the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5zl5g4jQzo), using the FTP method. So now I have a file as follows: /public_html/jwplayer/jwplayer.js
I configured the plugin through the dashboard, entered the license key, set the player library URL: http://www.avbbcorp.com/jwplayer/jwplayer.js and set it to just work for pages.
In the page where the video should be displayed (https://www.avbbcorp.com/teracue-case_studies), the JW PLAYER settings are – for testing purposes:
MEDIA URL: https://www.avbbcorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/red-magma-2K.mp4
[I am using a video that is in my wordpress library for testing purposes]and switched the URL to: https://youtu.be/v0OyCEBkAP8 to test another link from YouTube (a live feed fron National Geographic)
In either case nothing happened, my page shows “Loading the player” on top and that’s it.
I don’t know where I am supposed to be a code, if any, to display the link on the page. Or would the fact that I entered an URL on the JWPlayer settings for that page be enough?
Please advise and sorry for my lack of knowledge on this topic. Thanks,
