Why Connect Reviso to WooCommerce?
Reviso is a popular cloud accounting platform used by thousands of businesses across Europe. If you run a WooCommerce store and use Reviso for your accounting, you know the pain of manually entering product data, customer information, and supplier details into both systems.
The ilGhera WooCommerce Importer for Reviso plugin eliminates this duplication. It connects your WooCommerce store directly to the Reviso REST API, allowing you to import products, customers, and suppliers with a single click.
What You Can Import
Products
Import your entire product catalog from Reviso into WooCommerce. The plugin handles:
- Product names and descriptions — Maps Reviso product fields to WooCommerce post data.
- SKU management — Uses the Reviso product number as the WooCommerce SKU. Optionally, you can use the barcode instead if available.
- Price synchronization — Imports both recommended prices and sales prices from Reviso. The plugin automatically handles tax calculations based on your WooCommerce tax settings.
- VAT class mapping — Reads the VAT rate from the Reviso product group and maps it to the appropriate WooCommerce tax class.
- Inventory tracking — Imports stock quantities and sets stock status (in stock/out of stock) based on Reviso inventory data.
- Publish control — Choose whether imported products are published immediately or saved as drafts for review.
- Update existing products — If a product with the same SKU already exists, the plugin updates it instead of creating a duplicate. You can also choose to exclude title and description updates.
Customers
Import your Reviso customer list as WordPress users with the customer role. The plugin:
- Creates WordPress user accounts for each Reviso customer.
- Assigns them to a configurable user role (default: Customer).
- Imports billing addresses and contact information.
- Handles large imports via Action Scheduler background processing.
Suppliers
Similarly, import your Reviso supplier list as WordPress users with a configurable role. This is especially useful for stores that manage supplier catalogs or have supplier-specific pricing.
How It Works
1. Connect to Reviso
The plugin uses Reviso’s OAuth-like authentication via Agreement Grant Tokens. From the plugin settings page, click “Connect to Reviso” and authorize the connection. The plugin securely stores your token and uses it for all subsequent API calls.
2. Configure Import Settings
Each import type (products, customers, suppliers) has its own settings tab where you can configure:
- Target user roles for customers and suppliers.
- Product publish status (draft or published).
- SKU preference (product number or barcode).
- Whether to update existing products or skip them.
- Whether to include short descriptions.
3. Run the Import
Click the import button and the plugin handles the rest. Large imports are processed in the background using WooCommerce’s Action Scheduler, so you can continue working while the import runs.
Technical Architecture
The plugin is built with a clean, modular architecture:
- WCIFR_Call — Handles all communication with the Reviso REST API (base URL: https://rest.reviso.com/). Manages authentication headers and request/response formatting.
- WCIFR_Products — Manages product import logic, including data mapping, price calculation, tax class detection, and inventory synchronization.
- WCIFR_Users — Handles customer and supplier import, including group mapping and user creation.
- WCIFR_Settings — Provides the admin settings interface and connection management.
- WCIFR_Temporary_Data — Uses custom database tables to store import data temporarily, ensuring reliable processing even for large datasets.
- Action Scheduler — Processes imports in the background, one item at a time, preventing timeouts and memory issues.
